Nginx HTTP comparison harness

Requires Python 3; standard library only.

Smoke check:
python compare_http.py --vm http://VM_ADDRESS --vks http://VKS_ADDRESS

Measured trial after installing identical content:
python compare_http.py --vm http://VM_ADDRESS/benchmark.html --vks http://VKS_ADDRESS/benchmark.html --requests 1000 --concurrency 5 --repeats 4 --interval 0 --expected-sha256 PAYLOAD_SHA256

The default makes five GET requests per target, one worker, with one-second pacing. The script writes timestamped CSV and JSON results. Four repeats alternate VM-first and VKS-first ordering. It changes no server configuration.

Use identical content and record software, resource budgets and network routes. A finite closed-loop Python test is not a validated maximum-capacity benchmark. Pacing is included in reported throughput. Percentiles include successful full-body responses only; errors are separate. Run resource monitoring separately.

test_compare_http.py runs local fixtures to verify concurrent accounting, HTTP error and checksum handling, and percentile calculations.

vks-nginx.yaml is a sample application manifest, not a cluster manifest. Review names, image availability and resource settings for your environment before applying it. It creates a namespace, ConfigMap, Deployment and LoadBalancer Service. The mutable image tag should be replaced with a tested digest from a registry accessible to your nodes for reproducible future tests.
